Hormos Dafsari works on neuronal immunity and longevity in Inborn Disorders of Autophagy at the Department of Pediatrics (University Hospital Cologne) and Department of Molecular Genetics in Ageing (Max-Planck-Institute for Biology of Ageing). He utilizes a combined approach with human molecular genetics (Next Generation Sequencing) and the model organism C. elegans to elucidate neuronal vulnerability to ageing due to deficient mechanisms in autophagy.
